Therapy in Pakistan has been hard to access for a long time — limited practitioners outside major cities, long waits, and the very real worry of being recognised in a waiting room. Online therapy removes most of those obstacles.

I am Khadija Sajid, a clinical psychologist based in Islamabad. I work with clients across Pakistan and with Pakistanis living abroad.

How online therapy works

Sessions run for 50 minutes on Google Meet. You receive a private link before each appointment — there is no account to create and no app to install; it opens in a browser.

You need a reasonably private space, headphones, and a stable connection. Many clients use a car, a bedroom, or an empty office. If the connection drops, we continue by phone rather than losing the session.

Does it work as well as in person?

For most common difficulties — anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions — the research to date shows online therapy achieving outcomes broadly comparable to face-to-face work. It is not a compromise.

It is less suitable in some situations, including acute crisis, active risk to safety, or where someone needs in-person psychiatric care. If that applies to you, I will tell you honestly rather than take you on.

What it costs

  • PKR 4,000 per 50-minute session for clients in Pakistan
  • USD 50 per session internationally
  • Session packages available at a reduced per-session rate
  • A free 15-minute introductory call before you commit to anything

Full pricing and package details are on the booking page.

Privacy

Sessions are confidential, within the limits set out in the policies. Nothing is recorded. For many clients this is the deciding factor — online means no waiting room, no reception desk, and nobody who might recognise you.

Getting started

The first step is a free 15-minute call. No forms, no commitment — a conversation to tell me what is going on, ask anything you like, and see whether this feels right. If it does, we book. If it doesn't, I will point you elsewhere.
