The small print, made clear

Policies & Terms

Everything about cancellations, payments, and confidentiality — written in plain language, because clarity builds trust.

Last updated: July 2026

Booking & payment

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long and held online via Google Meet.
  • A session is confirmed once payment has been received. Payment details are shared privately by WhatsApp or email after your time is agreed.
  • Fees: PKR 4,000 per session for clients in Pakistan; $50 USD (or GBP equivalent) per session for international clients.
  • Accepted methods: JazzCash and bank transfer (Pakistan); Wise for USD and Revolut for GBP (international).
  • The first 15-minute intro call is free of charge and carries no obligation.

Cancellation & rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule any session free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice, via WhatsApp or email.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed sessions ("no-shows"), are charged the full session fee. This is because the time was reserved for you and can rarely be refilled at short notice.
  • Genuine emergencies happen — if something serious prevents you from attending, get in touch and we will find a fair solution together.
  • If I ever need to cancel a session, you will receive as much notice as possible and the choice of a full refund or a rescheduled session at no cost.

Lateness

  • If you join late, the session still ends at its scheduled time, and the full fee applies.
  • If you have not joined within 20 minutes and I haven't heard from you, the session is treated as a missed session.

Confidentiality & its limits

What you share in sessions is confidential. I do not discuss your identity or your material with anyone, with these standard ethical and legal exceptions:

  • If I believe there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or to someone else.
  • If there are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable person.
  • If disclosure is required by law.
  • Anonymous, non-identifying discussion in professional supervision, which is standard practice and exists to keep the quality of your care high.

Wherever possible, I will discuss any such step with you first.

Online sessions

  • Sessions take place on Google Meet using a private link sent before each session. Please join from a quiet, private space where you can speak freely.
  • Please do not record sessions; I will not record them either.
  • If the connection fails mid-session, we will attempt to reconnect. If more than half the session is lost due to technical failure, the remaining time will be rescheduled at no extra cost.

Adolescent clients (13–17)

  • Written consent from a parent or guardian is required before therapy begins.
  • The young person's sessions remain confidential within the limits above; how information is shared with parents is agreed openly with everyone at the start.

Scope of service

  • My services are psychotherapy and psychological support. I do not prescribe medication; where medication may help, I will suggest consulting a psychiatrist or physician.
  • Online therapy is not suitable for every situation. If your needs would be better served by in-person, specialist, or more intensive care, I will say so honestly and help you find appropriate support.

Not for emergencies

This practice does not provide crisis or emergency services. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (1122 in Pakistan), go to the nearest hospital emergency department, or contact a crisis line in your country (UK: Samaritans 116 123 · US: call or text 988).

Changes to these terms

These policies may be updated from time to time; the latest version always lives on this page. Meaningful changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly.

Questions about any of this? Just ask — I'd genuinely rather you ask than wonder.
